Fiji Credit Rating Downgraded - Asia Pacific Focus
Is this how to move the nation forward?
The international financial research and analysis group, Moody's Investors Service, has downgraded Fiji's credit rating.Moody's says the political situation in Fiji and the recent scrapping of the constitution will make it increasingly difficult for the country to attract investment from abroad. As a result, it has cut the Fiji government bond rating, the foreign currency bank deposit ceiling and the foreign currency bond ceiling.
Whatever, it means the words "scrapping of the constitution" leaves a bad taste in one's mouth if we want to kick start the economy.
I shudder at what lies ahead for the innocent citizens of this beautiful country.
